PreK-3 (Age 3-4)

The PreK-3 program promotes imaginative and cooperative play through daily learning centers and outdoor time. The teacher will continue to teach shapes, colors, numbers and letters and introduce sounds. They will develop their fine motor skills through activities like writing their name, cutting and coloring. They are also encouraged to be more independent by putting on coats, opening food and cleaning up after themselves.

PreK Class (Age 4-5)

The PreK-4 class promotes kindergarten readiness. Most children can already recognize their letters and sounds. We take this knowledge and use Phonics to teach them how to combine letter sounds and read. They develop their fine motor skills by practicing writing their letters and numbers. Learning centers and outdoor time encourages imagination, social skills and problem solving.

Facilities and Class Size

Our building is secured with keypad entry and we have two outdoor playgrounds available. We have six classrooms each furnished with child-focused centers for learning and play.

We pride ourselves in low teacher to child ratios and enroll children throughout the year on a space-available basis. We follow the most stringent of regulations for teacher-to-student ratios based on the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Curriculum

We use Christ-light, Learning Without Tears and High/Scope to create a well balanced preschool curriculum that is fun yet challenging. Children learn through Bible lessons, music and movement, learning centers, arts and crafts, group experiences, and small and gross motor activities. This holistic approach gives children a solid foundation for elementary school and beyond.

Weekly Chapel and Worship Participation

Weekly chapel services are held on Wednesdays in the church sanctuary. This is an opportunity for the children, faculty, and parents to gather together for worship, singing, and prayer. We love it when parents can join us in worship!

Extracurricular Activities

All children have a music class once a week and sing each day in their classrooms. We love having fun with music and praising our Savior. Once a week the children participate in an age-appropriate P.E. class and play outside on their playground daily. We also offer soccer from Soccer Shots.
