Why Abiding Word?

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.”

Psalm 119:105-106

Christ-Centered

Abiding Word is rooted in Christian tradition. Religion is not just a class that our students attend. It is deeply rooted in everything we teach our students. We are preparing them to live a Christian life in and outside of the classroom.

Academically Challenging

Our school is committed to delivering our students with an excellent education. Most of our students go on to take pre-AP and AP classes in high school. Our teachers ensure students are constantly challenged, but not overwhelmed.

Enriching Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to participate in many extracurricular and athletics programs. We also offer many opportunities to learn and engage outside the classroom during the year through field trips, cultural activities and group projects.

Personalized Attention

At Abiding Word, our students are not just a number. We strive to keep very low teacher-student ratios. This allows us to tailor the education each student receives and help them identify their unique gifts and interests.

A note from our Principal:

I am pleased to tell you more about our small Christian school, Abiding Word Lutheran. We provide an exceptional Christian education from our earliest learners at 18 months through our middle schoolers in eighth grade. It is a blessing to work with such a wonderful team of teachers every day who care so much about preparing your children for living lives of Christian service.

Some of our families have been with us since their children were young; some moved here; and others found us later when they realized that they wanted a different schooling experience for their children and their family. Our goal is to provide a community for your children to grow and thrive in: mind, body, and soul.

I invite you to look around our website: read some of our family testimonials, watch our slideshow, read about our teachers, and look at our extracurricular opportunities. I also suggest you read my tips on picking a Christian school in Houston.

We hope you will come learn more about our school. Join us for a school tour and we can tell you so much more about our community. We can also put you in touch with current families who can also help to answer your questions. We believe it’s very important for families to find the school that is the right fit for their unique needs.

Send us an email, give us a call (281.895.7048), or send us a message on our website to get in touch.

Thank you for learning more about us,
